Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Tastique Recipes (tastiquerecipes.com) collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the site, answer your messages and keep the site secure.

This policy applies to tastiquerecipes.com. It does not cover other websites that we link to, such as social networks. If something here is unclear, you can reach us through the Contact Us page.

1. Your Consent

By using this website you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the contact form or the ratings and comments form, and consider adjusting your browser settings as described in the section on cookies.

Where the law requires consent, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, we ask for it before using non-essential technologies, and you can withdraw it at any time.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in four ways.

Contact Form

When you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and the text of your message. We use this information only to read your message and reply to it. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not use your address for marketing.

Recipe Ratings and Comments

If you rate a recipe or leave a comment, we receive the name you enter and the text you submit. Comments and the name shown with them may be displayed publicly on the recipe page, so please do not include personal details such as your email address, phone number or home address in a comment. If you want a comment removed, contact us and we will delete it.

Server Logs

Like most websites, our web server automatically records standard log data each time a page is requested: your IP address, your browser type and the pages requested. We use these logs for security, to detect abuse and to troubleshoot technical problems. They are not used to build advertising profiles.

First-Party Visit Statistics

To understand which recipes are useful to readers, we run visit statistics on our own server. They record the page viewed and the referrer, meaning the page or site that sent you to us. Raw visit records are kept for 7 days and are then reduced to daily totals that no longer describe individual visits.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To reply to messages sent through the contact form.
  • To publish the ratings and comments you submit on recipe pages.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical errors.
  • To see which pages are read, so we can improve existing recipes and decide what to publish next.
  • To meet legal obligations when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our first-party visit statistics do not rely on advertising cookies. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security service. Cloudflare may set technical cookies that help protect the site from malicious traffic and deliver pages reliably. These cookies are needed for security and performance, not for advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Each browser explains how on its own help pages. Blocking technical cookies may cause some security checks to appear more often, but you can still read the recipes.

5. Third-Party Services

Cloudflare

Requests to our site pass through Cloudflare's network, so Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and request details in order to deliver content and block attacks. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.

Pinterest

We link to our Pinterest profile. If you follow that link, Pinterest collects data under its own privacy policy. We recommend reading it before you use the service.

Google Advertising Controls

Should ads served by Google appear on our pages, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage personalized advertising in your Google Ads Settings and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

6. Data Retention

  • Raw visit records: 7 days, then only daily totals remain.
  • Server logs: kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
  • Contact messages: kept as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up, then deleted.
  • Ratings and comments: kept while they remain on the recipe page, or until you ask us to remove them.

7. Visitors in the EEA and UK (GDPR Rights)

If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom, the legal bases for our processing are your consent (for example when you submit a message or comment), our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, and compliance with legal obligations. You have the following rights:

  • Access – request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification – ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure – ask us to delete your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • Restriction – ask us to limit how we process your data, under certain conditions.
  • Objection – object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Portability – ask for your data in a portable format, or have it transferred to another organization, under certain conditions.
  • Withdrawal of consent – withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.

We respond to requests within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA Rights)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, and why.
  • Request deletion of the personal information we have collected from you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, use the Contact Us page. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we respond within the time the law allows.

9. Children's Privacy

Our recipes are written for a general audience, and the site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form or the comments form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise their children's use of the internet.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the data we hold, including the security services provided through Cloudflare and limits on who can access server data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid putting sensitive personal details into messages or comments.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the current version took effect. We encourage you to review this page from time to time. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

12. Contact Us

For questions about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described above, please use our Contact Us page. You can find further details about using the site in our Terms of use and learn more about us on the About Us page.
