Q: Can I substitute ingredients in your vegan recipes?

A: Yes, but proceed with caution! Our vegan recipes (like the soy curl bacon) rely on specific textures. We always try to list common substitutions in the "Chef's Tips" section. If a specific substitution isn't listed, we haven't tested it.

Q: Do you use metric or imperial measurements?

A: We provide both! In our recipe cards, you can toggle between "US Customary" (cups) and "Metric" (grams). For baking recipes like our Einkorn biscuits, we highly recommend using a scale and metric measurements for accuracy.

Q: Why didn't my soup dumplings have soup inside?

A: The "soup" comes from the gelatinized broth (aspic) melting during steaming. If your wrapper tore, the soup leaked out. Or, if the filling wasn't cold enough when wrapping, it might have been difficult to seal. Check James's detailed guide in the recipe notes!
