Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Wash the sprouts and pat them completely dry. Trim the woody stem end and slice each sprout in half vertically from top to bottom.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the sprouts on a baking sheet, cut-side down, ensuring at least a half-inch of space between each sprout. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes until edges are mahogany-brown and outer leaves are charred.
  4. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.
