Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the trimmed green beans in a 9x13 inch baking dish and spread them in a single layer. Scatter the chopped raw bacon evenly across the top of the beans.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the sugar has mostly dissolved and the sauce is smooth and glossy.
  3. Pour the glaze over the beans and bacon, tossing gently with tongs to ensure every bean is coated. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the bacon is crisp and the sauce has thickened into a sticky, bubbling syrup.
