Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean or higher)
- 4 cups broccoli florets, bite-sized
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1/3 cup coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
Instructions:
- Whisk together the coconut aminos, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a small mixing bowl and set aside. Note: This prevents the garlic from burning in the pan
- Heat avocado oil in a 12 inch cast iron skillet or large non stick wok over medium high heat until the oil is shimmering.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it into small crumbles. Cook without stirring too often until the beef reaches a mahogany brown color and the edges are crisp.
- Toss in the broccoli florets and stir fry for 3-4 minutes until they turn a bright, vivid green.
- Pour the prepared clean sauce over the beef and broccoli mixture.
- Stir constantly for 2 minutes as the sauce bubbles and reduces into a glossy glaze.
- Remove from heat immediately once the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with sliced green onions for a hit of freshness.
