Ingredients:
- 6 medium fresh peaches (approx. 3 lbs / 1.36kg)
- 4 tbsp (57g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup (65g) packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Carefully slice the peaches in half and remove the pits.
- Place the peach halves cut-side up in a 9x13 inch baking dish, ensuring they are snug but not overlapping.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until the mixture is a uniform, sandy paste.
- Spoon equal amounts of the cinnamon mixture into the center of each peach half, pressing slightly so the glaze fills the cavity.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges of the peaches turn a deep mahogany color and the sugar is bubbling and syrupy.
